Jen & Ben :: Kent Manor Inn Wedding

Jen and Ben’s Eastern Shore wedding at the Historic Kent Manor Inn is the perfect combination of elegance and family tradition.  Ben’s mother created a beautiful watercolor painting of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, which can be seen on the invitations.  The groom’s grandfather (GrandBill) joyfully officiated the ceremony, as was done for many other family members in the past.  Jen’s father gave a moving speech at the reception that had the guests in both tears and belly laughs.  The girls were styled by JoAnna and Brianna from Amie Decker Beauty and each had custom hangers with their names and wedding dates!  Jen and Ben did not miss an opportunity to make their families and guests feel special and truly appreciated.

Maria and I had such a great time photographing the couple, the guests and the incredible decor!  Jen and Ben planned the wedding from their home in Colorado and enlisted an amazing team of vendors to pull off the perfect wedding day.  Leslie from Wedding Savvy, Ashley from Kent Manor Inn, and Bill Doepkens from Under the Willow at Deopkens Farm all worked so hard with their teams to create a dream wedding.  The clear top tent from Eastern Shore Tents and Events was dressed with the coolest flower balls, rustic wood tables and bar.  The guests were able to have their caricature drawn from the artists at Sketch Faces DC while the amazingly talented Brittany Branson worked on her live painting of the event (until her paints froze!).  The homemade apple pie for dessert baked by Elizabeth Walters was the perfect treat.  The guests danced the rest of the night away to the high energy music of Bachelor Boys Band.

I absolutely love Jen and Ben.  Their genuine love for each other made them a joy to be around and an inspiration to photograph!
