Carly & Matt :: US Naval Academy Chapel Officers Club Wedding

I LOVE this family!  We go all the way back to St. Mary’s Elementary School and I have since been honored to photograph many special occasions with them.  Carly and Matt’s wedding at the US Naval Academy Chapel and Officers Club was no exception!  These two are truly meant for each other.  Matt proposed in the Hart Library in Mahan Hall and the couple had a  photo of the moment printed and displayed at the reception.  We were able to recreate the moment on the wedding day, which I have never done before!  It was beautiful and moving.  Carly and the girls prepped at her grandmother’s home on the water in Edgewater.  Kristen Foster provided the glam squad and the flower girls kept everyone in stitches!  There was no shortage of love and joy on this day.  Oh, and did I mention it was 17 degrees that day?!  Fortunately, it was a strong Navy wedding party who were totally down with a few photos outside.  Maria and I are fast and efficient, especially on a day like this!  The ceremony was at the US Naval Academy Chapel and the reception right next door at the Officer’s Club.  We were able to shuttle around for photos in Mahan and Bancroft Hall.  When you bridesmaids are currently living in Bancroft, you can cut through to the Rotunda.  Score!!  Photographing Carly and Matt’s wedding brought so much joy to my heart.  It was an extra bonus to see her aunts and uncles whose weddings I’ve captured in the past with their growing families.  Congratulations and lots of love!
