The very first email I received from Amy:
“Hi Kate, my dear friend Margo Fischer shared your name with me, and of course from my instagram stalking of her page I have already seen many of your lovely photos. My fiance, Ned, and I have set our date and venue (May 19, 2018 at Mrs. K’s in Silver Spring) and wondered about your availability? I just want the day to be filled with laughter and love, and hope to find a photographer who can capture that feeling and the memories of the day. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best, Amy”
Any friend of Margo’s is instantly a friend of mine! May 19 is my wedding anniversary, so I had initially blocked off the date, but after receiving Amy’s request I knew I had to re-open the date. I’m so glad I did! Amy and Ned are two of the most amazing people I have ever met. Not only do they shower each other with kindness and love, but they have dedicated their professional lives to helping others as well.
I had never photographed at Mrs. K’s Toll House for a wedding before, so when I did a site visit before the wedding I was in awe! I couldn’t believe this secret garden was right downtown Silver Spring. Rain or shine, it is a gorgeous venue.
Amy and her girls prepped at the Double Tree Silver Spring while the guys shared a celebratory whiskey shot at the couple’s home. JSL Visions styled the girls hair and make-up and Bell Flowers created stunning floral designs. During a break in the rain, we headed to Mrs. K’s where Amy slipped into her gown and prepared for the ceremony.
