Amy & Matt :: University of Maryland Wedding

Amy and Matt are true Terps!  It’s no surprise they had their University of Maryland Wedding at Memorial Chapel and The Hotel across from campus.  They met and fell in love while attending college and are THE BEST friends.  For the engagement session we even snapped a few photos outside Cumberland Hall where it all began!  Not to mention, they have the most wonderful families and supportive friends.  Amy’s dad also attended the University of Maryland College Park, so there is some rich family history at that university.  My parents also met there and were married at Memorial Chapel in 1973, so it has a special place in my heart as well!

Also big fans of The Office, Amy and Matt walked down the aisle to the theme song!  Matt’s sister surprised the couple at the reception with a special video message from Kevin Malone (played by Brian Baumgartner).  I don’t know how she did that, but it was amazing!  Amy’s sister, Ally, is a super talented graphic designer and created the ceremony programs and save-the-dates.  I love when couples incorporate the talents of their family members into the wedding day!  All laughs and tons of hugs dominated the day.  There were a few tears of joy, mostly from Nana when she first saw Amy in her gown.  I love first looks with your friends, parents, relatives and partner!  It is a special moment when the wedding becomes real.

We had a blast on the wedding day, which was seamlessly coordinated by the amazing Margo Fischer of Bright Occasions.  The rest of the dream team included videography by Ginger Topham, florals by Petals Edge DC, photo booth by Booth-o-rama, makeup by Mimi Tran and live music by The Bachelor Boys Band.

Amy and Matt are seriously the sweetest couple and have such an outstanding support system.  This is one family I hope to keep a lifelong connection with to share in future celebrations.  For now, let’s celebrate Amy and Matt!  Congratulations you two!
